As the nights draw in why not cosy up with a mug of this gorgeous Real Hot Chocolate taken from The Dairy Book of Home Cookery.
Ingredients
- 25g (1oz) plain chocolate
- Pinch of ground nutmeg
- 200ml (7fl oz) milk
- 2 tbsp whipped double cream (optional)
- Grated chocolate (optional)
Directions
- Place chocolate, nutmeg and milk in a saucepan. Heat gently until chocolate dissolves. Do not boil.
- Pour into a mug, spoon cream on top and sprinkle with a little grated chocolate if using.
